Size Large RunCool Hood Louvers on U.S. Border Patrol pickup. This is an early installation (Standard Flow). We developed the Hi-Flow version for them -- 50% more louvers per panel for 50% more flow -- needed when it is 120° in the shade! Note roll bar and extended stand for scanning the desert.

"Ambient temp is 117° on average these days, and having a black Tahoe is a death wish. I installed a 180°F thermostat to help lower the coolant temp. Prior to installing your kit, I noticed my rad heat climbing to about 205°-208° at idle in traffic and lowering to 196° when in motion. After your kit was installed my rad temp only climbs to 201° and drops to 194°. The A/C has never been so cool even after idling in the sun for an hour. I used to run slightly lean also prior to your kit, 15.3-15.7 air fuel ratio. After your kit, I don’t know how, but I am running 14.9-15.2 which is better.
